Tailgating Party

This last weekend was the start college football and the NFL season starts tonight!  So let’s kick off this football season with our tailgate party that we styled for The Party Dress Magazine last fall.  Tomorrow we will share {Part 2} of the football party that was featured on Sonoran Living tomorrow along with FREE printables!!!

These printables can be customized with your almer mater colors!  We used our Tailgate Party Printable Collection to embellish all of the food & treats.

Set up your tailgating party with quick and easy foods that are grab-and-go.

Here, fry boxes were filled with Turtle Chex Mix.  We also made a super easy AND delicious “touchdown toffee”

Oreo truffles were molded into an oval shape and decorated to resemble a football.

We added cute houndstooth flags to the beer bottles and tied jute twine around the rootbeer bottles.

A chili bar was set up with all of the toppings – cheddar cheese, sour cream & jalapenos…SCORE!!

To accompany the chili, we made cornbread muffins topped with honey-butter…for a FIRST DOWN we even decorated them to look like cupcakes!!

“PASS” out pre-portioned appetizer bowls with ranch, boneless buffalo wings and celery sticks.

What is a football party with our fresh baked soft pretzels?  We served these gems with hot mustard and cheese dip.

So, there it is…lots of quick and easy entertaining ideas to kick your tailgating football party into gear!!  Stop by tomorrow for MORE football inspired party ideas AND FREE printables!!

Hi! I LOVE this party, especially since my sister works for the “Roll Tide,” and I see red and houndstooth! I wanted to see if you wouldn’t mind if I featured this party on my site? I will of course give you full credit and send them to your shop for products! Thank you!

These are some great ideas! I’m having a huge football blowout this weekend for all my coworkers and friends at Dish. We wanted to change it up a little, and these tips are perfect! My wife especially loved making the football-shaped oreo truffles. Also, I’m going to turn our giant basement room into the ultimate football paradise. With my Hopper, I have three TVs hooked up, one to each tuner, that will allow us to watch three different games at the same time in full HD! This way everyone gets a chance to see their team in action. Thanks again!

    Hi,

Where did you find the bowls for the chili? I am thinking of doing a chili bar for my daughter’s birthday party!
